Newrest in Madagascar is proud to have helped Ambatovy achieve one year without lost-time incidents (LTI). Ambatovy, a nickel and cobalt mining company of large-capacity production, is pleased to be celebrating an LTI-free year thanks to the support of Newrest in Madagascar since 28 September, 2015. The company’s outstanding performance in Health and Safety, accomplished for the first time, is the result of their constant efforts. Their approach established a culture of Health and Safety unique to the company, its employees and its subcontractors. It relies on leadership from all levels of the company’s safety field.
To celebrate their success, the Newrest in Madagascar teams gave out gift bags and served 6,500 additional meals to Ambatovy employees.
With Ambatovy’s recent performance, Newrest in Madagascar continues its nearly 4-year streak without lost-time incidents.
